As a personal fan of her work and her artistic talents, it’s been amazing to watch her business grow and see the collaborations she has been part of.

Let’s see what she has to say!

Q: What is a personal favorite quote?

A: “Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls” – Joseph Campbell

Q: What are 3 fun facts about you?

A1: I recently got married in Maui to my husband!
A2: I have major cat lady vibes over here with 3 cats; Samii, Bb, and Frank.
A3: I will fight an internal battle between a chilled Sauv Blanc, Margarita, Moscow Mule, mojito, or a Paloma.

Q: When did you create your business, and what inspired you to start this specific business venture?

A: I started my Kate’s Calligraphy Instagram just for fun to showcase all the punny cards I made – and I truly feel like I got into my groove around the fall of 2019.

Q: Why was it important for you to create your business?

A: It was something that blossomed into what it is currently becoming. With the support of my husband (then boyfriend) I found encouragement and motivation to see what I was capable of.

Q: If you could go back in time and give yourself any advice during the first year of your business, what would it be?

A: Don’t get your base prices from Etsy! It’s not “industry standard” and almost everything is vastly undercharged to stay competitive in the sea of creatives.

Q: What is your favorite part about working with/supporting your specific clients?

A: This one’s a coin toss – it’s between getting to see their projects from start to finish OR seeing them out at their weddings!

Q: Where can our viewers find you?

A: So far, just my Instagram @kates_calligraphy, but I am working on the design of new logos, branding, and a website launch! Stay tuned, friends!

Q: What does confidence mean to you?

A: Confidence to me is being unapologetically authentic. OWN what makes you, YOU!
