Today’s guest for the #womensupportingwomen feature is Lisa Dahl of Lisa Dahl Wellness to share her personal journey, how it inspired her to create a business in health and wellness, and how she helps clients learn to love themselves. Without further ado, let’s step in!
Q: What is a personal favorite quote?
A: “Life is messy and magical, filled with disappointment and discovery. Wake up Grateful” – Kristi Nelson
Q: What is your favorite activity when you aren’t working?
A: In my free time, you will find me hiking with my partner Rick and our Rescue dog, Evie.
Fun Fact: My partner and I are building a 52-foot sailboat that we hope to live on in the next few years.
Q: When did you create your business, and what inspired you to start this specific business venture?
A: I started 5+ years ago, and I believe we all deserve Body Peace & Food Freedom and that when we UNDiet our lives, we can be happy, healthy, and confident at any size.
Q: Why was it important for you to create your business?
A: Weight is one piece of many social justice issues, and I want to be a part of the change that empowers women to learn how to listen, trust, and respect their bodies vs. focusing on what they and everyone else think.
Q: If you could go back in time and give yourself any advice during the first year of owning your business, what would it be?
A: Take the time to put systems in place. I put most of my energy into coaching, so it’s hard to pause and focus on the fundamentals of the business.
Q: What is your favorite part about working with/supporting your specific clients?
A: It gives me so much joy when the women I work with make the shifts that free them from the shackles of dieting and diet culture.
Q: Where can our viewers find you?
Q: What does confidence mean to you?
A: Confidence is being comfortable in my own skin and knowing how to listen, trust and respect my body. My confidence grows every time my clients recognize their awareness and they have the power to choose and respond.
