Hey, Style Slayers — Happy Moda Monday!
Welcome Inside the Closet! In this edition, we’re sharing 1 quest, 2 tips, and 3 looks to help you embrace your unique style superpowers — Let’s step in! 👇
1 Quest for you to try
This week, you are pulling inspiration from NHFW and recreating some of our runway-worthy looks in time for the change of season! With items like Madison Saville’s office-friendly suits, you can go from meeting up with clients to catching up with friends at brunch to dancing the night away at a Holiday Party in a few short weeks, all by using some office staples creatively! Since all of our inspiration this week comes from the Madison Savile collection, make sure to check out their website if you’re looking for some suits or separates this season!
How to participate
- Choose: Select your favorite office-worthy items, such as a go-to blazer, a pair of professional slacks, or even a basic button-down
- Create: Combine your office-worthy item with different pieces such as cocktail or formal attire, or go casual with cargo pants and boots for some versatile looks this season!
- Capture: Share your outfit with #VostraModaQuest, or reply to this email with your entry.
The most inspiring outfit will be featured next week! Please let me know if you would like to remain anonymous.
2 Tips to help you slay
For this week’s quest, I’ve chosen a few examples of my favorite pieces and outfits inspired by the Madison Saville collection, all featured during the NHFW event this past October! I loved creating outfits using these items because it proves how versatile your wardrobe can be if you start with some good basics (like a favorite blazer – all of the ones in this collection are beautiful and incredibly comfortable as well!) and let your imagination out to play!
— Your look could be as simple as pairing your favorite blazer with a pair of matching slacks, button-down shirt, and black oxfords for a classic but elegant look. Or you could really dress it up by mixing textures and accents like the green satin gown I paired with a tan blazer, gold belt, and the adorable green and gold bee broach and green hanging earrings which pulled the entire color palette together! And for a casual option, you can pair your plaid blazer with a graphic tee, cargo pants, and some ankle boots. Quick style tip: cuffing the sleeves of your blazer can also add an element of casualness!
Our style suggestions
- Want to add excitement to a monochrome look? Pair your all-black suit with a sheer or a textured button-down beneath and some metallic accents for depth and an easy-to-accessorize look!
- Looking for some Holiday inspiration? Try a red or green velvet jumpsuit with your favorite neutral blazer and matching neutral heels to pull the color palette throughout your entire look. For a touch more holiday cheer (aka sparkle!), you can even take a statement belt (I used the one that came with the jumpsuit for consistency) and wear it on the outside of the blazer!
