From runway to walkway

Hey, Style Slayers — Happy Moda Monday!

Welcome Inside the Closet! In this edition, we’re sharing 1 quest, 2 tips, and 3 looks to help you embrace your unique style superpowers — Let’s step in! 👇

1 Quest for you to try

This week, you are pushing the boundaries of conventional style by turning New Hampshire Fashion Week (NHFW) 2025 inspiration into everyday expression! How did this theme come up, you may ask? Last week, I was honored to attend this special event as a VIP guest/Press & Media attendee! Designers lit up the NH runway with bold silhouettes, elegant textures, and personality-packed details. This was such a fun experience, and a great reminder that the real magic of fashion isn’t just what happens under the spotlights—it’s how you translate those moments into your everyday style story! So, inspired by the stunning style and designs displayed, we’re breaking down how to take inspiration from the runway to your walkway, infusing your daily outfits with confidence, creativity, and authenticity—without feeling like you’re just “playing dress-up” with this challenge!

How to participate

  1. Choose: Find one look or element from NHFW (or a local designer you admire in NH or your own home state!) that sparks inspiration in you—whether it’s a color, mood, or silhouette!
  2. Create: Translate that element into a wearable outfit that fits your lifestyle. Maybe that avant-garde gown becomes a sleek monochrome look for date night, or that punk edge shows up in your accessories or makeup!
  3. Capture: Share your outfit with #VostraModaQuest, or reply to this email with your entry, and make sure to shout out the designer who inspired your look!

The most inspiring outfit will be featured next week! Please let me know if you would like to remain anonymous.

2 Tips to help you slay

For this week’s quest, I’m sharing the outfit that I put together for attending NHFW -something that felt a step up from my day-to-day, but still on brand for my own style preferences! There were so many great outfits that other attendees put together as well; it wasn’t just the designers getting creative and showing their love for fashion!

— Whether you’re inspired by a designer this week, or just want to take your own style to the next level, try to focus on the feeling more than replicating an exact look. When you see a runway outfit you love, ask how it makes you feel when you think of wearing it yourself. Confident? Powerful? Whimsical? Use that as your guide. Maybe you’re not wearing a full sequined jumpsuit to work—but you can channel that same energy through a metallic blouse, statement earrings, or structured blazer!

Our style suggestions

  1. Signature Statement Pieces: Every runway look has a focal point. Find one detail that makes you feel extra “you” and let it shine—a bold scarf, striking jewelry, or statement boots. Your statement doesn’t have to scream—it just has to speak of your personality.
  2. Wear it with intention: Runway models aren’t confident because of what they wear (though sometimes an epic outfit can boost that energy!)—it’s how they carry it. Take a cue from that power walk energy. Straighten your posture, take up space, and imagine your hallway, driveway, or walkway as your own personal runway. Confidence is the ultimate accessory and looks good paired with any outfit!
Bri White and local business owner of M&C Clothing and Gifts and friend, Irene Alton, show off their fashion foward fits for the 2025 NHFW event! Bri paired a printed buttondown worn open with a black sweetheart blouse layered beneath, and a long black pleated skirt with gold heels. She added gold through the rest of her outfit with layered gold necklaces, and gold dragon claw and d20 hanging earrings! Fashionable and fantasy inspired!

3 Looks for you to shop

Upgrade your wardrobe with just one click! Shop these fresh looks from flatlays inspired by the NHFW 2025 designs to trend the multiverse and never go out of style.

The Mr.

Our Mr flatlay was inspired by NHFW 2025 and the graffiti-style suit by one of the featured designers, Janaby. Our flatlay uses a similar black and white theme suit, but instead of a paint splatter or graffiti effect, we used a patchwork option, which we paired with a black satin button-down, black accents like leather sneakers, a black watch, and black sunglasses. We finished the look with a shoutout to the original inspiration by adding in a paint splatter bow tie!

The Mx.

Our Mx flatlay was inspired by NHFW 2025 and adaptive-focused designer, Eightfold Fox! Our flatlay uses similar color schemes with a white linen short-sleeve button-up, brown tweed trousers, and fall favorite white ankle boots. Additional accents include gold frame glasses, a gold chain waist belt, a camel brown belt, and a mix of abstract gold rings and earrings for an extra touch of fabulous!

The Ms.

The Ms flatlay is inspired by NHFW 2025 and featured designer, Bloomingdale's Outlet! Our flatlay features a black mesh and floral blouse, a light blue asymmetric denim skirt, and we embraced some more pink in our look with platform heels, sunglasses, and a floral embossed handbag. Finishing off the outfit with large gold hoops for a runway or walkway worthy fit!
