Spice up your wardrobe with pumpkin inspo

Hey, Style Slayers — Happy Moda Monday!

Welcome Inside the Closet! In this edition, we’re sharing 1 quest, 2 tips, and 3 looks to help you embrace your unique style superpowers — Let’s step in! 👇

1 Quest for you to try

Tis officially the season for Pumpkin Spice and everything nice! That’s why this week I challenge you to create a fall-themed outfit centered around the warm, cozy colors of autumn, but this week you’ll focus on incorporating pumpkin spice vibes with knitwear, orange hues, and, perhaps even some spice-inspired accessories!

How to participate

  1. Choose: Order your favorite PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) – for research purposes, of course – and check out the colors of either the drink itself or the container if you’re getting a creamer or ingredients to make it at home!
  2. Create: Use your cozy beverage as inspiration for putting together an outfit that uses knitwear, and PSL colors like orange, brown, and cream
  3. Capture: Share your outfit with #VostraModaQuest, or reply to this email with your entry.

The most inspiring outfit will be featured next week! Please let me know if you would like to remain anonymous.

2 Tips to help you slay

For some folks,  PSL’s are a right of passage into the Autumnal season. But even if you don’t love this gourd based drink, there are plenty of other beverages that can inspire your fall fashion this week, and you can still use our style tips for each! Just change the color palette theme to that color scheme! For example, if you prefer a chai tea, cream and browns are still applicable but probably less oranges in your look. Or if you love warmed apple cider, switch out the orange for a touch of red instead and maybe some nutmeg or cinnamon browns sprinkled through your look…anyone else getting thirsty or is just me?!

Our style suggestions

  1. Lean into the color palette of your favored drink! Most PSL’s I’ve had the pleasure of drinking boast colors ranging from brown to tan, cream to white (especially if there is a lot whip cream!), and usually a little bit of orange. Sometimes there is even a touch of green in the design or on the packaging if they’re really embracing the pumpkin theme! Choose the color combo with just the right amount of spice for you (and your style)!
  2. Emphasize the “coziness” of a fall favorite with knitwear! Knitwear doesn’t have to just be a sweater though! This could also be a hat, some leggings, socks, or even a scarf can count as your knitwear item for this challenge!
