Hey, Style Slayers — Happy Moda Monday!
Welcome Inside the Closet! In this edition, we’re sharing 1 quest, 2 tips, and 3 looks to help you embrace your unique style superpowers — Let’s step in! 👇
1 Quest for you to try
This week, I challenge you to level up your leadership and style skills by stepping into Boss Mode! Whether you run your own business, manage a team, or just need to command respect in the room (even if it’s a Zoom room), this is your permission slip to look and feel like the confident powerhouse you are.
Dressing the part of a leader isn’t about playing someone else—it’s about turning the volume up on your inspirational energy and ability to show your commitment to caring about what you do and who you work with. And no, you don’t need a pencil skirt and heels or a 3-piece suit (unless you love those things!) to feel like a Boss. This is all about owning your space and showing up with intention.
How to participate
- Choose: Pick one meeting, networking event, or leadership moment coming up this week—something where you want to feel confident being seen.
- Create: Put together an outfit that makes you feel sharp, bold, and in charge. Pull from your closet, and add extra polish with accessories or grooming details.
- Capture: Share your outfit with #VostraModaQuest, or reply to this email with your entry.
The most inspiring outfit will be featured next week! Please let me know if you would like to remain anonymous.
2 Tips to help you slay
For this week’s quest, I’ve chosen an outfit that makes me feel confident and capable while still being comfortable: my sweetheart neckline blue jumpsuit paired with a matching blue blazer! As someone who notoriously gets hit with nerves every time they speak in front of a room of people (even though I do it weekly), wearing something a bit bold (whether that’s from a bright color or unique style) that gives me an extra boost of confidence helps level up my mindset and always lends a little something extra to my posture and my voice…Though I wouldn’t say no to a megaphone if offered one!
— While I personally love a good blazer for a Boss Mode look, your outfit could focus on other details, such as a beautiful and bold color palette or even a great pair of shoes! Choose your outfit with intention, but even more importantly, allow yourself to be seen and acknowledged for the awesome person you are beyond the clothing. You got this!
Our style suggestions
- Tech-ready textures: If you’re in an office atmosphere, make life easier by opting for wrinkle-resistant fabrics or light stretch suiting options to keep you comfortable from the moment you step into the office to the second you kick your shoes off at home.
- Feel free to add your own edge: Dressing for “Boss Mode” doesn’t mean you have to be boring. Try a bold red lip, some chunky boots, a statement ring or necklace, maybe even a touch of leather somewhere in your look. Make it yours!
