Building My Childhood Home In Sims 4

This “virtual tour” filled me with 90s nostalgia and took me on a trip down memory lane! I’ve always enjoyed designing homes in The Sims. Recently, while describing my childhood home, I realized I could recreate it in The Sims.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have any clear-cased electronics or plastic furniture to add in, but those would have been great additions too!

This edition was lovingly written, not just because of Valentine’s Day and our exciting Galentine’s Scents & Style Workshop last week, but also because February 13th marked my third anniversary of fully embracing the entrepreneurial life.

Back for another Barbie gameplay session with Barbie Mermaid Adventure! This was a quick 30-minute play though from start to finish.

Creating my D&D “Werebunny” in the Sims 4

What happens when you combine a Harengon and a Werewolf? You get a Werebunny! Sounds cute, but it’s basically a killer rabbit! 🐺🐰

I’m returning for another Barbie gameplay session, but with a game I didn’t own growing up, Barbie Super Sports!

This was more for testing out how the rollerskating and snowboarding controls worked as opposed to any sort of progression in gameplay, so I’m hoping to try another round in the future!

Q: What does pride month mean to you?

A: Celebrating of queer joy and how far we have come. Also, a time to speak up and continue fighting for the queer community! A time to really learn about queer history. A time to be in queer community and celebrate a little bit extra.

Q: What does confidence mean to you?

A: Feeling secure within yourself and your body. Insecurities root from something that has happened. When we can become secure, we become confident.

Q: What is the biggest lesson you have learned about yourself since starting your business?

A: There are A LOT of moving parts when starting a business. Figure out the best way to stay organized that works for you. I am still trying to figure this out for myself honestly.

Q: What is your favorite part about working with/supporting your clients/audience?

A: Hearing the testimonies from folks that have used my map/page. I recently received a message from someone that said their partner and themselves are planning a cross-country road trip that they would have never done before until they found the EIQ map.

Q: If you could go back in time and give yourself any advice during the first year of business, what would it be?

A: Continue to ask questions to people that can help you. As well, be easy on yourself. It’s exhausting! Also don’t forget why you are doing this. ❤️

When did you create your business, and what inspired you to start?

A: January 2nd, 2022. After attending Brave Trails (a queer youth leadership camp), I wanted to create that euphoric experience that you feel at Brave Trails.

That feeling where you can be your full authentic self. As people look locally or travel the world, I wanted to create something that would allow them to be their full authentic selves.

I hope that the queer-owned businesses on our map will provide a safer space for folks. I also think about the queer youth and when I was in high school. I wish I knew of a queer-owned coffee shop that I could sit at (out or not) and see queer people exist and work.

Q: What is your business/service?

A: Everywhere Is Queer is a worldwide map of queer-owned businesses. We use our platforms to highlight and uplift the voices of queer-owned businesses!

Q: What is your favorite activity when you aren’t working?

A: Table tennis, paddle boarding, biking, and eating food with good people

A: What is the biggest lesson you have learned about yourself since starting your business?

• We are a reflection of all things in our life – the bad and the good. We are continuously seeking completion – so always keep learning.
• The only time one fails is when one quits. Feedback is available each time the outcome is different that one wanted or expected.

A: I love seeing the successes and helping them learn from the lessons of failure. Failure is a part of learning. Once a client is able to learn a few lessons, the growth is amazing.

Q: If you could give any new business owners advice during the first year of owning/starting their business, what would it be?

A: Invest in yourself – no one will invest in you, your business or opportunity, until you do. Surround yourself with people who support you and challenge you. Join a mastermind or group coaching program, hire a coach/strategist, outsource what you dislike doing in business.

Q: What was important for you professionally as you were building your business?

A: Reconnecting with my passions and my abilities to connect people

Q:What was important for you personally as you were building your business?

A: Harmony of family and business.

Q: What inspired you to start this specific business venture?

A: I was introduced to neuro-linguisting programming in early 2019 during what I thought was a sales training – to help me grow my sales pipeline.

During the training, I realized I was naturally good at helping people uncover their passions, super skills and turn those skills into money or profits in business and life. Turns out I had been doing it for years… so the transition to helping people as a business was built.

Q: When did you create your business?

A: November 2019, rebranding after 2 years not knowing what the brand should be… so technically October 2017

Q: What is your business or service?

• Business operational strategy & coaching – exposing blind spots; business and personal SWOT analysis; leadership and mindset trainings.
• Neuro Linguistics Programming (NLP) trainings, coaching sessions and workshops.

Q: What is your favorite activity when you aren’t working?

A: Racing cars, driving on a closed circuit testing my skills, or simply being at the track supporting activities with race cars.

A: Being able to stand tall in a room and take up space. Doesn’t mean you have to be the loudest or most bubbly person. It means you know you belong and you can do the tough work even when it’s scary.

A: I need structure. I need to be able to inject fun and freedom into my work. The problem I run into is that it can get chaotic if I don’t create “To Do” lists and schedule reminders.

A: Seeing the “click” in a client’s eyes when they finally see that it’s possible to feel sexy, confident, gorgeous, and even powerful in their clothes.

Q: What advice can you give new and growing small business owners?

A: Roll with the punches and give yourself some grace. You’re going to fall on your face and make many mistakes and it’s all going to be okay. They are all chances to learn, grow and come back stronger.

Q: What is most important for you and your business?

A: To have fun and keep it flexible. I need to be able to pivot and choose my own adventure each day. Those things can easily be lost when building a business so they have been a big focus for me.

A: I’ve loved styling but felt constrained by brands and I really wanted to show other women that it doesn’t matter your size, age, or shape you deserve to look and feel great.

A: I’ve been styling for a long time, but I decided to make the leap into my own business back in late 2021

A: Divine inspiration. I asked for a sign on how to do more with music then the thought to do a singing workshop for adults came into my mind. I wasn’t keen at first as I wanted to perform more, but I followed my intuition and it’s been amazing.

A: Walking in Nature, Recording new songs, Watching Sci-Fi TV series!

Q: What is the biggest lesson you have learned about yourself since starting your business?

A: Boxing your dreams is totally limiting; being willing to expand and dream bigger, even when it feels scary, is one of the biggest gifts we can give to our souls and to humanity.

A: I love the Japanese concept of kintsugi, which uses gold to repair an item. Instead of appearing perfect by concealing cracks, we honor our experiences to make us the wholest and wisest versions of ourselves.

A: Starting a business will have moments where you can get down on yourself for not reaching certain goals, so give yourself the gift of mindful self-compassion and treat yourself as you would a dear friend.

A: Every morning, I make space to listen to my highest spiritual guidance to explore how I can best serve that day and build an enduring legacy of love.

Q: What inspired your business?

A: I always felt called to interior design, and one summer day my intuition told me loud and clear: help others honor and recognize the sacred connection between mind, body, spirit, and space. That’s when I began exploring the world of feng shui.
